The Buffaure area boasts a rich gastronomic offer, accompanied by the hospitality of typical mountain huts and spectacular views of the Val di Fassa Dolomites. At high altitude, five mountain refuges offer the best dishes of local tradition, numerous Ladin and Trentino specialties, as well as refined dishes prepared with passion.
Once you reach the Buffaure basin, you will find the recently renovated Chalet la Bolp and the Rifugio Buffaure, with its large sunny terrace. Walking uphill, you will find Baita Cuz, a true oasis in the middle of the mountain featuring splendid panoramic suites for overnight stays. Going further up to the 2,354 meters of Col de Valvacin, Rifugio El Zedron awaits you with views of the Marmolada and tasty delicacies.
From Buffaure, it is also possible to hike down through the wild Val Jumela and stop for a recharging break at Malga Jumela, a small corner of paradise where you can savour the true taste of the mountains.
Finally, going down towards Pozza di Fassa, at the foot of the Vulcano slope, lies the Dolomites Geyser, a truly unusual and fascinating location that offers restaurant service and is also ideal for an aperitif or an après-ski evening.
