Take the chairlift up to the stunning basin of the Costabella Ridges. From here, we will begin a trail through alpine pastures and high-altitude vistas, immersed in the beauty of the Dolomites. The itinerary leads us to discover the trenches and tunnels of the Italian front line during the First World War, for an experience that blends nature, history, and memory.

  • When: every Saturday until the end of September
  • Meet at 8:30 AM at the bottom station of the Costabella chairlift at Passo San Pellegrino.
  • Return around 4:00 PM.
  • Cost: €38 adults, €20 children (10-12 years) – FREE for Moena Outdoor and Soraga Experience Hotel guests
  • The cost of the lifts is not included.

The city of marmots

Friday Take the Costabella chairlift at Passo San Pellegrino for a pleasant walk through wide, high-altitude pastures, surrounded by a Dolomite scenery of extraordinary beauty. This easy trail is suitable for everyone and leads to one of the areas most frequented by marmots, where you can spot them popping out of their burrows and hear their characteristic whistles echoing across the alpine meadows.

Excursions

Once you step off at the top station of the Costabella chairlift, you will find yourself in an area rich in panoramic trails and historic stops. The zone offers trekking and walks for all ages and skill levels: easy strolls for families, intermediate hikes, as well as expert excursions and via ferratas. Among the simple walks for families, a must-mention is the CAI trail No. 604, which leads to the Passo delle Selle Refuge (2,530 m). This oasis of peace among the mountains offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding Dolomites: the Costabella Ridge in the foreground, Cima Bocche, Cima Juribrutto, the majestic Pale di San Martino, Mount Civetta, and Mount Pelmo to the east, as well as the entire Monzoni Group, the Catinaccio Group, and the scree slopes of Val San Nicolò to the west.
